What a pleasure it’s been to edit
You. Your threads
To pull on them
To find this needle
Together and
Hold it over
Our creation.
I could not be a surgeon yet
I have given all my care
To this operation: embroidery
Of words. I hope
There is no weakness
In the stitches.
Part of you is bound
There. And my fingers too have left their prints.
We hope it remains.
It could never be perfect
But it worked
For whatever its receivers needed.
Healing or
Unravelling or
